Remedy
Ford Motor Company is working closely with its suppliers to produce parts for this repair. When parts become available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge parts and labor. Parts are anticipated to be available fourth quarter 2023.

  • TAKATA Airbag Voluntary Safety Recall

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall to replace the Takata airbag inflators in front driver and passenger Takata airbags.

Ford agrees with global experts that the propellant in Affected Takata Inflators may degrade over time, therefore conducting this action at this time will protect you now and in the future.

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall for:
    • certain 2003-2008 Model Year Econovan vehicles;
    • certain 2004-2014 Model Year Courier vehicles;
    • certain 2003-2014 Model Year Ranger and Everest vehicles;
    • to replace the Takata airbag inflators in front driver and passenger Takata airbags which utilise non-desiccated Phase-Stabilised Ammonium Nitrate (PSAN) propellant (Affected Takata Inflators).

  • Static Bending Light Configuration Issue

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall to repair Static Bending Light Configuration Issue. 

    Static Bending Light configuration does not comply with the requirements outlined in the ECE48 regulatory standards.

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall for:

    • To repair static bending light configuration issue by updating the Headlamp Control Module (HCM) Software.

  • Blind Spot Assist Warning Issue

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall to repair Blind Spot Assist Warning issue. 

    Blind-Spot-Assist (BSA) warning system may not display audio/visual warnings under certain conditions which does not comply with the requirements contained in the ECE79-03 regulatory standards.

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall for:

  • Event Warning Chime Issue

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall to repair Event Warning Chime issue. 

    If your vehicle is equipped with a Premium LX Cluster, may experience a condition under which when the Turn signal / Hazard Lamp Audible Indicator is activated (referred to as “tic toc”) a concurrent Event Warning Chime (e.g. Seat Belt warnings, Lane Keeping warnings) will not be audible.

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall for:

  • Premium LX Cluster Issue

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall to repair Premium LX Cluster Issue.

    If your vehicle is equipped with a Premium LX Cluster in combination with a Non-B&O Branded radio may not have audible Event Warning Chime (e.g. Seat Belt warnings, Lane Keeping warnings) and Turn signal / Hazard Lamp Indicator audio when activated (referred to as "tic toc") under certain conditions.

    In addition, this also causes the cluster to consume power even with ignition off, draining the battery.

    Ford cares about your safety. The proposed voluntary recall is to ensure the safety of your vehicles now and in the future. Therefore conducting this action at this time will protect you now and in the future.

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall for:
    • certain 2022 Model Year Everest;
    • repair Turn Signal, Hazard Lamp Indicator and Event Warning Chime issues by running Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Software and Configuration Update

  • Brake Fluid Level Low Warning Issue

    Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall to repair Brake Fluid Warning issue. 

    If your vehicles equipped with a Vacuum Brake Booster, the Brake Fluid Level Low Warning message will not appear on the Instrument Panel Cluster when the brake fluid level is low due to an incorrect Body Control Module (BCM) configuration.
