Indicator meaning
- If it illuminates when driving, this indicates a malfunction.
- Note: On Drive mode, it is normal for ABS indicator to illuminate.
Indicator meaning

- You will continue to have normal braking (without ABS) but have this checked as soon as possible.
Airbag Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- If it fails to illuminate when you start your vehicle, continues to flash or remains ON, it indicates a malfunction.

Brake System Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- It illuminates when the parking brake is engaged.
Indicator meaning
- Reduce your speed gradually and use your brakes with great care.
- Do not step on the brake pedal abruptly.
- If the brake pedal feels spongy – do not drive your vehicle. Call us for assistance (1300-383-181).
- Note: If light illuminates when you are driving, check the parking brake to see if it’s engaged. If parking brake is not engaged and light remains, this indicates a malfunction.
Direction Indicator
Indicator meaning
- The direction indicator will flash when you use the direction indicators. A sudden increase in the rate of flashing warns of a failed bulb.
- Note: During emergency braking, hazard lights will switch on automatically. Do not be alarmed, this is part of our safety features.

- Visit an authorised Ford Dealership Service Center to rectify the issue.
Doors Opening Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- It will illuminate when you switch the ignition ON if you have not closed the doors, the bonnet or tailgate properly.

- Stop the vehicle at a safe location to check all doors and bonnet are closed properly. If all are closed and light remains ON, visit a Ford Dealership Service Center to rectify the issue.
Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- If it stays ON after starting or illuminates when driving, this indicates a malfunction.
Indicator meaning
- Stop your vehicle in a safe location as soon as possible and switch the engine OFF.
- Visually check the coolant level.
- Do not resume your journey if the coolant is low or light remains ON.
- Call us for assistance (1300-383-181) to have an authorized Ford Dealership Service Center inspect your vehicle immediately.
Engine Oil Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- If light illuminates while the engine is running or when you are driving, this indicates a malfunction.
Indicator meaning
- Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and switch the engine OFF.
- Check the engine oil level.
- Do not resume your journey if it illuminates despite the level being correct.
- Call us for assistance (1300-383-181) to have an authorized Ford Dealership Service Center inspect your vehicle immediately.
Fasten Safety Belt Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- It will illuminate and a chime will sound to remind you to fasten your safety belt.
Indicator meaning
- If chime continues even with the seat belt engaged, please visit an authorised Ford Dealership Service Center to rectify the issue.
Battery Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- If it illuminates when driving , this indicates a malfunction in the charging system.
Indicator meaning
- Switch OFF all unnecessary electrical equipment.
- Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer immediately.
- Note: If Battery Warning Lamp illuminates with other malfunction indication lamp, call us for assistance (1300-383-181) to have an authorized Ford Dealership Service Center inspect your vehicle immediately.
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- If it illuminates, refuel as soon as possible.
Indicator meaning
- Note: In some Ford models, engine power will be reduced to ensure you reach the closest refuel location.
Low Tyre Pressure Warning Lamp
Indicator meaning
- It illuminates if the tyre pressure in one or more tyres is below the correct tyre pressure.
Indicator meaning
- Type Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) needs to be reset after pressure correction has been completed. Please refer to the owner’s manual.
Malfunction Indicator Lamp
Indicator meaning
- The MIL illuminates when the ignition is initially turned ON. The indicator must be OFF so that the engine starts operating, indicating that the system is operational.

- Stop your vehicle in a safe location as soon as possible and switch the engine OFF.
- If the indicator stays illuminated while engine is running, have your vehicle checked by an authorized Ford Dealership Service Center.
- In case vehicle is not drivable, call us for assistance (1300-383-181) to have an authorized Ford Dealership Service Center inspect your vehicle immediately.
